Merry Christmas

Every year, we take a drive around the area, just like I’m sure many do; to check out how folks have decorated their homes….. it puts us in the Holiday spirit. In spite of the deluge SoCal has had to endure over the last week……things cleared up just in time for Christmas Eve.

I’m wondering how much this homes electric bill was? Still we really enjoyed stopping…..

This year the Missus wanted Sukiyaki as Her Christmas day meal (my recipe here), so of course that’s what we had.

  1. Merry Christmas to you and the missus, Kirk. Thanks for sharing all your pictures and foodie experience. Hope 2011 brings more of good eats. Thanks.

  2. How does a Japanese/Mexican American celebrate the holidays? My Christmas = tamales (Christmas Eve), ham (Christmas Day) along with more cookies, candy, other snacks than the human body can tolerate. New Year = menudo. I gotta figure out how to squeeze some Japanese in too! Hope your Christmas was spectacular!

  3. Most of the houses on our street put up some kind of Christmas decorations so we didn’t have too far to go this year to see lots of lights. Merry Christmas to you Kirk and mmm-yoso gang!

  4. Merry Christmas Kirk! I love how your took pictures of the lights! I love walking/driving around to see all the decorated houses. I was tempted to take pictures, but they wouldn’t have looked so good with a windowpane in between the shots.

  5. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! Finally in SoCal and indulging myself in nothing but food I will have to catch up here.
